Overview

Abstract The Electrical Infrastructure database presents the spatial locations of Major Power Stations, Electricity Transmission Substations and Electricity Transmission Lines; in point and line format respectively, for known major power stations, transmission substations and transmission lines within Australia. This dataset describes Major Power Stations; structures in which high voltage electricity supply is converted, controlled or transformed. Currency Date modified: 17 January 2025 Modification frequency: As needed Data extent Spatial extent North: -9.00° South: -44.00° East: 154.00° West: 112.00° Source information In addition to Esri World Imagery, the latest information sources used to identify and attribute the electricity transmission lines were publicly available publications from utility companies, engineering firms and government agencies.
