This dataset contains the number of Threatened Species Action Plan priority species where they, or their habitat, are known or likely to occur in a 0.05 degree latitude/longitude grid cell containing land in Australia. It is derived from the "Australia - Species of National Environmental Significance Distributions (public grids)" dataset of species listed under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act 1999 which contains species distributions from the Species of National Environmental Significance database after generalisation inline with the Departments Sensitive Species Policy.
