The National Freight Data Hub (NFDH) is a new way for industry and governments to share and use freight data. The Hub will provide open access to government data, help industry share data together, and collectively answer the big questions about Australia's freight performance and how we can improve it.

Waterline reports on trends in (a) container throughput, (b) container handling productivity on the waterfront and the land side of ports in Australia, and (c) the cost of importing and exporting containers via five container ports.

* A series break occurs at end December quarter 2010. Any methodological revisions in the current edition of waterline are carried back only to March quarter 2011 (inclusive).
* Wharfside performance indicators in containers per hour are available from March quarter 1996.
* Quarterly port non-financial data is available from March quarter 2015.
* Landside indicators commence in September quarter 2006.
* VBS slot data is available from March quarter 2007.
