Overview

The U.S. Department of Energy conducted its second in-situ-combustion field experiment from August, 1977 to February, 1978 in Utah’s Northwest Asphalt Ridge deposit. Data from this experiment was utilized to estimate the oil price necessary for an economically viable in-situ-combustion project. The results of this investigation are contained in this report.
