SRI International is developing a novel ammonia (NH3) and potassium carbonate (K2CO3)-based mixed-salt solvent carbon dioxide (CO2) capture process. Large bench-scale and engineering-scale (~10 megawatt-electric [MWe]) testing is being performed to validate enhanced CO2 capture efficiency, high loading capacity, and reduced energy consumption.
