This report summarizes the Fuel Cell program at the Department of Energy (DOE), Morgantown Energy Technology Center (METC) through mid-1990. A brief history of the Fuel Cell program is given. Options for fuel cell commercialization are reviewed. In particular, molten carbonate fuel cells, phosphoric acid and solid oxide fuel cells are discussed. 22 refs., 25 figs., 1 tab.
