Overviewkmd
Numerical modeling of the volumetric heating process is concluding. The develoment of the numerical model to describe the heat-mass problem for the radiation heating of oil shale is now near completion for low temperatures. The study of optimitzation of the heating process is now underway. Preliminary results indicate that the electricity for the heating process will be 5-7 kilowatt-hours/gal of recovered oil. This result is encouraging for the economics of the heating process.
