"The available information on soil classification and characteristics for the Anvil Points Oil Shale Facility was assembled and interpreted to evaluate the conditions of the existing soils. A detailed soil phase map was prepared for the study area from the advance soil survey sheets provided by the U.S. Soil Conservation Service. The soils data were also interpreted in terms of the suitability of topsoil as a source of cover material for establishing and maintaining revegetation cover on disturbed areas."
